Ballasttanke

  1. Hello,

Could you explain a bit more about the tank system and how it works?

I am thinking of modifying my onw boat this coming with and fit it with water ballast tanks.

Where do you start and how does the "plumbing" with all valves, tubes, etc etc.??

    Regards,

  2. Hi Perry,
I would like to do the plumbing with 1" hoses.
I only have to handle 200 liters of water so my system i wery simple.
The two tanks will not be connected. they will work seperate and take in water at the top of the tank with an electrical pump. the draining will be made from the bottom of the tank and work simply by the use of gravity, that means that the tank will empty simply by opening the valve. Omn top of the tank you need to remember to put a hole/hose for the air to escape. that way you can fill the tank faster.

Hope this gives you a little idea about the tanks otherwise feel free to write again.

  3. regarding the use of fitting or plumbing as you write I expect to use pipes and valves from a company called Gavatec.dk

  4. The tanks are simply moulded as an flamingo/epoxy/roving box.
The shape and size has been calculated and moulded simply by using cardboard and tape!
